Conscious Movements (CM) is a 1.5 hour guided workout and "Meditation in Motion". Class is structured around the concepts of "3 Gears of Breathing" and "Movement is Medicine". Participants will be taught how to manage their Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) through their breath and will be guided through movements meant to bring health and harmony to the body. The quickest way out of your head is into your body. By combining mindful breath with movements from diverse fields such as BJJ, Yoga, Tai Chi, Animal Movements, Dance, Gymnastics, Capoeira, and many more; CM aims to give participants an experience like no other!

SKILLS TAUGHT IN THIS PROGRAM
SELF REGULATION SKILLS
Conscious Movements is about learning how to use movement and breath to connect to the intelligence of our bodies for greater mental health and wellbeing. The training design is aimed to support and strengthen longevity, self regulation and self awareness.
Conscious Movements is an “interactive user's manual” for the human body. The program teaches students how to perform daily maintenance on their bodies to prevent injury and increase mental, emotional and bodily awareness.
Students will learn how the body communicates which “state” it’s in and will be taught actionable steps to change their state.
Learning the skill of self regulation allows you to be the best version of yourself, whether that's a friend, parent, partner, boss, employee, athlete, or student.
TRAUMA INFORMED
Conscious Movements is a trauma informed movement practice for regulating the nervous system and greater self awareness.
Conscious Movements skills can be taught to children as well as adults. This program is helpful for anyone who has dealt with any stress, anxiety, depression, mental health issues, trauma or for anyone who doesn't feel as young in their body as they once did.
MOBILITY & FLEXIBILITY TRAINING
It is also a movement class designed to introduce students to new ways of moving their bodies. By methodically moving each joint in the body students gain greater awareness of their limitations and strengths.
MEDITATION IN MOTION
This movement program encourages the student to get out of your head and into your body. Switching from thinking to sensing.
PRESENCE AND CURIOSITY
Conscious Movements helps to balance and create harmony in the Autonomic Nervous System through relaxation, effort and play. This type of training leads to improved HRV.

CONSCIOUS MOVEMENTS ORIGINS: founder Joey Scrivani
My name is Joey Scrivani I’m 34 years old and a happily married father of two young boys. I am offering this course as a way to give back and teach skills I wish I would’ve had when I started my fire service career.
After 10 years in the fire service I was diagnosed with PTSD. My symptoms included panic attacks, disassociation, suicidal ideations, sleep issues, anxiety and depression. As I began my treatment I found it lacking as the conventional treatment was aimed at giving pharmaceuticals to help my symptoms while failing to address the nervous system and the body. This approach placed me in a victim mindset and has been ineffective for me.
After trying the conventional approach I started to experiment with things outside the mainstream. Ice baths, saunas, breath work, meditation, journaling, TRE, float tanks, EMDR, neuro-feedback, plant medicines and many other non conventional approaches ended up being what gave me relief and allowed me to pull myself out of despair.
Fast forward 3 years from my initial treatment and I am now working to give people skills before pills.
Through Conscious Movements, participants are introduced to the language of body and taught how to use their breath and movement to regulate themselves.
Conscious Movements works on a physical, mental, emotional, and energetic level and encourages the practitioner to tune into the body and allow the mind to settle back. Through conscious attention, breath and movement we are able to connect to deeper parts of ourselves and encourage healing in a way conventional medicine doesn’t offer.
